Artist's Comments

COmmission for my friend Habib.

Pencil>;photochop. impossible to calculate working time.

The criteria was, Habib wanted a fantasy character, a stealth/cs character and a fighting game character, surrounded by a 'dragon, wreathed in flames'.
I spent a good amount of time designing that dragon and thinking out it's anatomy. I opted for a halfway between the classical dragon and the 'Reign of fire' realistic model.
The fantasy character, as is apparent, is a tribute to Link; I also wanted to give her a slighty FFish feel.
The stealth character I carefully designed so that he would be at home in CS, Metal Gear Solid or Devil may Cry. How succesful was I?

waisay i have to admit........u could benefit from brighter colors!
the general gray tones just makes it look so gloomy

Yay! It is teh complete! The dragon is so awesome :love:. The feel of the paint is really really nice!

Overall, I like how the characters represent pop media stereotypes without looking cliche :nod: (ok that didn't make sense...)
